The Ankhet Archives Exposed
7 Thoth – It would appear that our little secret is out and while we anticipated that this day would come, we didn’t expect it for at least another few weeks.  As you might have guessed this site is still very much under development.  It has been 8 weeks since The Archives went “live” and as you navigate through previous issues you can actually see the variety of changes that have been implemented over that course of time to the general look of the site.  We have been hesitant to advertise our existence because we still feel there are many areas that need improvement.  Fortunately, full stability does seem achievable in the not too distant future.

KOL Player drive
10 Thoth – The last time players from Kingdom of Loathing were invited to play Ankhet for the opportunity to earn great quantities of meat it was conducted by game developers, The Oracles.  On this occasion it was sponsored by the players, a select number of them, led by errational (Pennant).  The drive turned out to be very successful as hundreds upon hundreds came pouring in to test their muscle, mysticality and moxie against an entirely different breed of creatures.  We just could not help ourselves. In total there were four Ankhet changes with Ivan the Cat (Lunchlandia) leading the way in favour for the 2nd straight issue.  The restorative power of Cureall is now held by Djeret Netjer (N: Hem-Netjer), who used a Metasis Charm to convert to the path of Hathor presumably to provide assistance to the throng of KoL players trying out Ankhet.  A few others did the same thing, while some including Nightvol (N: Allou Alom) preferred the grace and might of Atum-Ra.  PorQ Cheops (Lunchlandia), who was missing from the list last week, reassumed his post Ankhet of Bast, while Eccentric (Pennant) inherited the role of Thoth Ankhet after the departure of Djeret Netjer mentioned earlier.  Lastly, the realm saw neminem (Lunchlandia) and Sut (Pennant) increase their Ankhet streak yet again, this time to 9 weeks!

The dominion picture is beginning to clear up, as it is now easier to observe the top six most active factions in the game today.  Moreover, the great disparity that has existed among dominions for what has seemed like ages is finally showing signs of ending.  This is a thanks in part to the efforts of such dominions as Hem-Netjer, which under the veteran leadership of Djeret Netjer has recently leaped, in quite fantastic highflying fashion, over the hurdle that is Luz to claim the sixth overall position.  Hatred, which has been averaging 71 levels per week, reached a new high with an astonishing 85 levels or 170 million favour produced in a period of just 7 days, gradually inching their way closer to overtaking the number 2 spot.

But it is the founding of the Allou Alom dominion which has garnered the most attention and interest in the land, having already recruited a staggering 74 new members, making it easily one of the largest dominions to ever exist.  Following its growth is something that we here at the Archives are very much looking forward to doing.

We absolutely love when records are broken, especially when a new fastest camel racer is named.  That honor now belongs to saucybandit (N: Pennant), who with this win has engaged in a battle for racing supremacy with rival camel jockey, Nightvol, also known for his blistering speed.  It will be interesting to see which of these two disciples ends up with the record next week or if someone else decides to step up to the plate.  One thing is for sure so far, Thoth is in no way like Mesore where record changes were much more prominent.  On a final note, Djeret Netjer continues to rack up the wins now up to a total of 4 race victories since the introduction of the Archives.
